Lucy’s Adventure

“Mmmmmm,” Lucy said. The look of the breakfast appeared scrumptious. Lucy was enjoying her breakfast downstairs. She was a slim, clever, and wonderful girl. She was as quick as a fox, loving and caring. She had won millions of awards, mostly for fashion as she was amazing at that.

After breakfast, Lucy went to her bedroom and started reading a thick book. Her house was in a small street in an outstanding town. She lived in New York. Her house was three-storied. It had a backyard and a front yard. There were peach-coloured walls. The stairs could transform into a slide. The aromatic, fresh smell of roses, dandelions, lavenders, sunflowers, and many more flowers drifted in through the window from the yard. These smells would always bring a freshness to her face.

It was 11 am and she was desperate for a ride to the library as she loved books. She ran downstairs to find her parents.  But alas! Her parents had gone out for shopping! “Ugh!!” she groaned in frustration. “I simply cannot believe I forgot!” Lucy said, furiously. “But wait! I’ll go and ask the neighbors! Though, they might be ravenous after missing breakfast, even though they are always dervish.” Lucy muttered to herself. Lucy peeked at their window. They were having breakfast. The sounds of their voices were getting louder and louder. Lucy bravely knocked on the door. She narrated her problem.

Her neighbour, Mrs. Miller called her mother and asked her if she could drop Lucy to the library. Lucy’s mother happily permitted. Mrs. Miller grabbed her phone and keys, and they set off. “Wow! Thanks!” Lucy said. She was delighted. She reached and read a few books! She was on cloud nine, but now she was tired as well. Her parents picked her up on their way back home from shopping. She went home, ate and slept. She dreamt of a land full of books, and woke up, refreshed. She was feeling outstanding and undefeated for the courage she exhibited yesterday. It was a thrilling adventure.
