Melody and the Mountain
One beautiful sunny morning, Melody was relaxing in her garden. The sun was turning sizzling hot and she was feeling quite sweaty. Melody was a nature-loving girl and was mostly happy. She loved watching the sunset and thought it looked magical.
In the distance, there was a mountain, just like Melody. He was always dreamy and bright. He only had one wish, and that was to live in the tropical. He would really have loved that, but it was just impossible.
One humid and sultry day, Melody was messing about in the field. The crops looked golden as the sunlight fell on them. Suddenly, she caught sight of the huge mountain. As she was feeling really active that evening, she raced with her friends to the top of the mountain and back.
The mountain was really big, so soon Melody and her friends were panting looking for trees to sit in the shade. Melody caught sight of one and raced to it before someone else got it. It was quite warm underneath the tree, hence she felt lazy and restful.
As she was relaxing, Melody started to like the spot more and more. She soon started coming there more often. In no time, it became her favorite spot. One day, she came back from school, feeling hectic. She had a project on nature due tomorrow. She decided to go to her favorite spot after lunch. Being, in nature might inspire her. Unfortunately for her, it was very muggy and torrid. The temperature was above 40.
Suddenly, she heard a voice “Do you need help?”. She turned around in surprise to see the mountain speaking. “You can talk” she asked.
“Yes,” he answered, “just please don’t tell anyone.”
“I won’t”, promised Melody “Do you think you can help me with something?”
“Sure”, replied the mountain “What is it?”.
“Can you help me with my project?”, “of course” replied the mountain.
Melody was delighted and idyllic, they worked hard, and now they are best of friends. The Mountain didn’t go to the tropical but found a place in Melody’s project where he was in the tropical.
