Story of a Seed

One day, A nine-year-old boy named Yash was coming home from school after learning the process of germination of plants. He also was carrying an apple seed to grow in a pot for his school project. The seed was wondering in his mind, “Where am I? Who is this?” as he was in a new place.

Yash always used to take care of the seed and planted him in a suitable environment. The seed also felt comfortable with the amount of care Yash was giving him. The seed was now in a suitable environment and felt nice and cozy. The seed then started taking in the water which Yash gave him.

Yash gave him water every day, so he took in all the water and was happy and content. He was getting bigger and bigger as well, due to the water. He realized that he was getting too big for his coat. One day, after he took water and his body was swelling, his coat split into two pieces.

Air now could get into the seed, as there was no coat anymore. The seed could feel something tingly on his body. The seed felt nice when the warm air touched him, as he sometimes used to feel cold inside the coat. The oxygen in the air then helped the seed burn the food packed inside him.

Burning the food creates energy, and the seed could feel that energy in him. He started using that energy to grow. He was slowly growing with the energy that he was making. He felt happy that he could grow and would grow leaves soon.

A root and a shoot then started coming out of him, and he was now a baby plant! Yash was also happy that his seed had also grown leaves and was very excited to show his parents and teachers. They all praised him for growing the seed so well. Yash then planted the plant in his garden.

Things went on for a few years, and then Yash had some important exams, so he could not care for the seed so much. But he did not ignore it and still watered it every day. After another few years, which were very busy for Yash, he once looked at the tree and saw that his seed had grown into a fully grown apple tree! He was elated and immediately plucked a ripe apple from the tree and tasted it. He found it to be the tastiest apple he had eaten in his life. Yash was delighted with his tree, and the tree was smiling back at him.
