How To Bake Cookies?

Cookies are more than just a delicious delight,
Its’ lip-smacking taste comes when it’s made right.

So, to make your cookies with no flaws,
Do remember to follow these laws.

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees,
Butter your moulds with some grease.

Precheck your recipe once again,
Ask for help from the net.

Your ingredients should be kept out,
Start making without a doubt.

Mix together the salt and the flour,
Add a teaspoon of baking soda.

Beat the sugar and the butter,

Try not to make a clutter.

Maintaining patience is the key,
To keep your batter soft and fluffy.

Add the vanilla and the eggs,

Make sure the yolk doesn’t fall on your legs.

Scoop up twelve big spoons of the dough,
Then layer them in moulds, make a whole row.

Bake the cookies for 12 to 15 minutes,

Make sure you don’t go over the limit!

Take off the cookies one by one,
Get ready to have some fun.

Store them in an air tight container,

Make sure it’s at room temperature.

Cookies are none other than a delicious delight,
But its lip-smacking taste comes when it’s made right.

So, to make your cookies with no flaws,
Do remember to follow the above laws

An Original Story by our student Yeddah Krishani Batolar on how animal kingdom displays unity.

Yeddah Krishani Batolar is 9 years old young writer from Gurgaon. She is an avid reader, dramatist, and sports enthusiast. We are proud to have her as a student of the Little Writers Program, an Online Creative Writing Program using Applied Storytelling & Theatre tools under the mentorship of Trainer Khusshbo Chokhaani. Once in a jungle, there was a lion. He was the king of the jungle. One day it was his birthday. He invited giraffes, donkeys, elephants, deers and even the ants!

The lion hosted a huge feast. The feast was so yummy that everybody gobbled up everything. The lion didn’t get a bite. He tried getting a bite but all the other animals were hogging.

The lion’s hunger was rising. The animals hogged up everything that not even crumbs were left. ‘Grrrrrrr’ went the lion’s stomach. He thought “At least I can have the cake.” But the animals ate the cake too. “Oh no,” said the lion. “Now what will I eat!”

The elephants said, “Do not worry my lord, we will make a grape cake.”

The tigers said they will make a red velvet cake.

The giraffes said they will make a blueberry cake.

The deer said they will make a chocolate cake. The ants said, “We will make the yummiest delicious mango cake.”

The lion said, “Ok I will see all of my cakes tomorrow see you all tomorrow.”

The next day, the lion kept waiting and waiting but no one came.

It was afternoon when someone knocked on his door.

He opened it and saw 90 ants holding one giant mango cake! The lead ant said, “Here is your cake, my lord!”

And he was so happy he insisted that the ants join him!

It was a lovely cake. Tasty, delicious and soft. It was stuffed with meat. The lion loved it.

Sometimes we have the strength to make our friends happy.
