The Teen Entrepreneurs

A slim gorgeous teenager walks the aisle wearing a beautiful dress. She looks like a model walking down the runway. Everyone present there had their attention was on her. Her life was awesome. She was always the center of attention. People thought that she was a Goddess. She was given the best of things. Her side business was growing. But she was facing many hurdles. At the end of the day, Ginny was a school girl. She had a business of custom-made clothes. Her friends adored her work. She loves to do her business. Not only did she get her pocket money, but it helped her to pass time.

Ginny’s best friend, who had her hair dyed pink, likes to spend her time at her shop. They love to design clothes for their customers together. As they were working on an expensive dress, a customer barged in. It was one of Ginny’s friends, Lyra. Lyra’s dad owned a big fashion magazine. Ginny quickly read Lyra’s expression and said, “Oh, Hi Lyra! What-sup” Lyra excitedly replied, “I have got good news. In the next edition of ‘The Life,’ my dad has decided to feature your store. How do you make custom-designed dresses and your designs? And the best part, I would be writing the report. Oh don’t worry, I would be writing everything well.” “Oh really! That’s great news for Ginny,” said Ginny’s best friend Lily.

“My latest client is a famous actress. Her name is Lia Quenya. I have to design her wedding gown. It has to be special. Oh, that reminds me to call her,” said Ginny as she quickly grabbed her phone and dialed Lia’s number. “Hello Ginny,” said Lia. “Hi Lia, I was wondering if you could come over. I have a couple of designs ready. I would love to see your feedback,” said Ginny. “Oh, I would love to see your designs. I will be right there,” said Lia. Ginny quickly turned to Lilly and Lyra and said, “Lia is coming.” Lyra said, “I have only seen has on the cover of my dad’s issues. I have always wanted to meet her in person.” “Looks like your wish is going to come true. Oh, she is here. Hi Lia, it is so nice to see you,” said Ginny.

Ginny quickly introduces her friends and says, “How are these?” Ginny showed Lia two beautiful gowns. They were looking more like formal dresses. “I don’t think so these are my style. I want something fit for a princess to wear on her wedding day,” said Lia. “Oh, maybe you can help me out. I get a lot of inspiration from magazines. I was wondering if you can tell me what you like. I might get a design for you.” said Ginny. “That’s a great idea, Ginny. I will get the wedding dress section. Meet me at the design table,” said Lily. “OK Lily, Lia, and Lyra come with me,” said Ginny. About an hour later, they were done with a beautiful dress. Lily quickly took the measurements as Ginny created a quick drawing with the correct dimensions. Lily was a great hairstylist. She and Ginny would run the boutique-cum-salon together.

To complete the look, Lily showed Lia some hairstyles. Ginny showed the completed look to Lia. It looked awesome. The look portrayed Lia’s inner qualities. Her beautiful looks complemented the dress. Ginny’s mother is a makeup artist, who did beautiful makeup on Lia. On the wedding day, Lia’s soon-to-be husband was shocked to see Lia. She was looking like a princess. The article written by Lyra got the cover page. Ginny’s designs were throughout the magazine. As if she was the start of the magazine. This brought a lot of business to Ginny.

Ginny and Lily graduated and converted their side hustle into a full-time business which made them the most successful fashion designer and hair stylist duo in the country.

The Skater Master I Avishi Bagga I Little Writers Program

An Original story on bullying and inner power written by our student Avishi Bagga.

Avishi is 10 years old, a young writer from Gurugram. She is inspired by imagination which motivates her to express her daily thoughts through writing because she feels that she can make people learn something new in a fun way. We are proud to have her as a student of the Little Writers Program, an Online Creative Writing Program using Applied Storytelling & Applied Theatre tools under the mentorship of Trainer Khusshbo Chokhaani. The Skating Master

Imagine a 4-year-old girl started Learning how to skate, but an older meaner girl starts making fun of her and makes her feel weak and less of herself. Hi, I am Avishi Bagga, and this is the story of my achievement as a skater.

When I started learning skating, then an older girl, told me that I would never be able to win even a single medal, because I sucked at it then. She whispered to me every day ‘you suck, just stop learning, you will never get to the next level, you will always be stuck here, so if you want to quit, do it now or just waste your time and money.’

At first, I thought that what she was saying, might be true, and I asked my trainer and Mumma about it. They both had the same answer, do not listen to her and keep practicing, you will get there, and remember to do this for yourself and not for anyone else.

I thought about it long and hard. Since I was young and facing this issue, I couldn’t do much about it, but I remembered my mum and coach’s words and kept practicing. I fell a few times and soon got better.

Since she thought she had mastered skating, she wouldn’t come to practice and not even compete.

The coach worked hard with me, and after a few years when I was 6 years old, I went to my first competition. Even though I had practiced a lot, I still lost. The older girl said that ‘I told you so, you can quit now.’ I cried for a long time. Then I decided that in the next competition failure wasn’t an option.

I worked harder this time and scored 2nd place after a few months. For my first win, we celebrated, danced, sang, and that night went by without us knowing

The next day, when I went to practice, my coach congratulated me, on the win and said, ‘next time we will work harder and make you a master.

I worked harder and felt more confident than weak. Then after a few months of practicing, I had another competition, in 2017, I won my first gold medal. That day my coach upgraded me to the next level.

The gold medal shined on my neck like a star in the night sky, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen.

I felt proud of myself, but something in me told me that there was something else for me to achieve more than this. I asked my coach and he said, that, the older girl wasn’t coming to practice, as she was very overconfident and the last thing was to beat her.

After a few months when I was 9 in 2020, before the pandemic, we raced, since she hadn’t practiced, she won the first round, but because of her overconfidence, she fell in the 2nd round, making me win that round, during the 3rd round she slipped and fell again, making me win.

This time, I felt the satisfaction run through my body. I couldn’t believe it, I had won. She cried and did apologize after losing, to a child who was 3 years younger than her.

My story talks about not to listen to others, not to pay attention to haters. Focus on your work, do not feel disheartened, Whatever you believe you can achieve.
