Spring And Its Miracles

Far away in a country called Dubai lived a girl named Avanta. Avanta was always cheerful. She had an older sister named Avantika. They both loved eating rainbow cakes. If they ever went out, they both tried to wear identical outfits. Every year, when spring approaches their mother calls them ‘’blossoms’’ because they looked mesmeric and beautiful.

They considered themselves lucky because they lived right next to Burj Khalifa. They had a pool on the roof of their house. Whenever it is humid the girls like to swim in the pool. When the sun rises above the rows of houses their house is the first one to get sun-kissed.  Close to their house, there was a Miracle Garden. On the arrival of Spring, the garden used to bloom with a variety of flowers out of which the girl’s favorite was tulips. Every time their parents took them there the girls used to get mesmerized by the sculptures of dancing girls made with tulips. Since Avantika had spring fever, her parents had a hard time finding her as she kept running around.

The girls had a dream that they open a bracelet stall. Every day they made 10 bracelets with umber, lilac, and many other colors of tulips. From time to time the girls made bracelets with beads as well. The problem was that they didn’t have a stall to sell in. So, they started sending bracelets to their distant relatives. Sometimes the girls thought they would never achieve their dream but their parents always cheered them up.

One day Avantika’s friend Johan dropped by with exciting news, that he found a stall for the girls!! The girl’s first words were, “how did you make this happen”? ‘’I won the, Get Your Own Stall Competition’’ said Johan. “Thank you so much”, said the girls. Every day after school the girls put up their stall. Soon the girl’s business became popular people from all over the world wanted one bracelet from them as they had fresh tulips as a part of their designs. The girls got their business inspired by the spring season and spring always stayed in their hearts. It was a miracle for the two girls.

Spring’s First Adventure

Once there was a girl named Jane. Jane had never seen spring. Every year in spring her parents used to travel abroad preferably to a colder region. This time she yearned for spring. She wanted to see how spring looked in her city.

On the last day of school before the spring holidays, when she came back home, she came to know that their trip to Canada was cancelled due to Covid 19 restrictions. She thought, “at least I will get to see how the spring season looks in my city.”

That night, as Jane was about to go to sleep, she peeked out of her window. There was no snowfall. The faraway mountains had little snow left on their peaks. Jane slept with good thoughts about the spring season. When Jane woke up the next morning, there was no snow at all. In fact, the whole garden was fully green. Jane was left speechless. Jane quickly tried to get ready, ate breakfast, and rushed out into the garden to enjoy the first breeze of spring. The weather was pleasant. Jane was welcoming the season with open arms. Suddenly her thoughts and moment were interrupted by her mother calling her,“ Jane, come over here. We have a surprise for you”. Curious, Jane went inside.  Her mother told her, “We are going on a picnic!” Jane was excited. They packed their picnic basket and then set off to the picnic spot.

As they reached the picnic spot, Jane was in awe of the beautiful spring season offered her on that day. The lush green meadows and the green moist hills all filled her heart with joy and gratitude. The colorful flowers were blooming, and the pretty delicate butterflies were flying all around. Jane was so excited she could not stay in one place. “ You have spring fever ” her mother commented.

Jane soon found a few of her school friends there. They played together there. After an hour, Jane went to her parents to eat lunch with them.

For lunch, they had some fresh fruits, Pancakes covered in chocolate syrup, sausages along with eggs, and lemonade to go with it. Food was scrumptious and delicious, and was even better to eat outside, in the fresh air.

Soon, the wind became a little stronger, so they quickly headed back to the car.  To their dismay, a tree fell on the road, preventing them from going any farther. Jane took a look at her parent’s disappointed faces, and suggested “Mom, why don’t we try removing this tree together.” Jane’s mother was about to disagree when she saw Jane’s eager face and decided to try it out once. They tried and tried, and were just about to give up, when the tree fell to the other side. “Yaaaaaaaaaaay” Jane’s parents shouted out in joy. Jane would also have shouted, but she was out of breath. The road was cleared by the Forest Officials by evening. They reached home by late night. Jane went off to sleep after dinner with beautiful moments in her heart.

The next day, Jane wrote about her experience in a story form as she was a keen writer. “Spring’s First Adventure” was the title of the story. The story was loved and appreciated by all.
