The Number Plate
One cold midnight in December, when the wind was blowing hard, suddenly there was a screeching sound of the four tyres of a car.
A number plate titled: V14239 fell off the car.
The car went away. The number plate kept shouting “Hey! Come back”.
The driver of the car was in a rush, and he paid no attention to the cries of the number plate and went away.
The number plate shouted, howled, and cried out loud. He wanted to go home. He kept on thinking and thinking but could not think of anything. Suddenly he looked up and saw the name of the street ‘Private Drive’.
He recalled that the driver was talking about going to Hogwarts School. The question was, how he will reach there?
Suddenly, he remembered his friend named “Magical Broom” whom he helped once. The broom gave him a boon that whenever he is in trouble, he can take his name and it will appear to help him. The plate got the idea that he could fly on the broom and reach Hogwarts. He remembered his flying broom friend. The broom appeared. He told him all about the sad incident. The broom as promised took him to Hogwarts school.
The number plate found his driver. The driver was elated to find the number plate again as he was worried that the police get hold of him for driving a car without a number plate. The driver screwed him back into the car tightly. Kissed it. The plate was on cloud nine for having found his place back.
