Winter Carnival And Nethin

There were a bunch of people waiting for the “Winter Carnival” gates to open in the bone-chilling weather. The gates were finally opened with a loud sound! TUR-CLIK! Everyone had a smile on their face. Within minutes everyone rushed inside. The strong wind blew pushing the people even harder which made them squish. Once everybody went in, they rushed to the food stalls. They were selling all kinds of food. Bread Pudding, Fruit Cake, Gingerbread, and Rost Meat with Veggies were the best-selling of all.

In this overloaded Winter Carnival, there was a 19-year-old boy with a smart brain who played basketball whose name was Nethin. He had black glasses, accompanied by skin as brown as chocolate fondue. Round cheeks like the basketball, not forgetting his short and cute nose. Nethin was wearing an Addidas black sweatshirt and matching sweatpants. To top it off he wore a grey jacket. Nethin was selling the best Gingerbread in the Winter Carnival.

Now, Nethin was running out of the Gingerbread dough, at the same time, the crowd was increasing. Nethin started to panic. He did not know what to do. The people were frustrated and began to shout. Nethin on the other hand did not know what to do. He decided to go to the nearby store for the ingredients, but the store was closed due to the bad weather.  Nethin was disappointed and came back to his food stall.

Fortunately, the Winter Carnival was closed for a lunch break. Nethin saw a Choco-chip cookie dough in his kitchen. He got an idea. Nethin was trying to recreate the Gingerbread with the Choco-chip cookie dough. The Winter Carnival gates open in 1 hour. Nethin started to work. He added some magic ingredients to the Choco-chip cookie dough to taste like the Gingerbread.

In no time Nethin managed to make a lot of cookies. The gates were once again opened for the evening. This time there were a lot more people than before. Everyone started to line up before Nethin’s shop.  Everyone loved the recreated Gingerbread, they were much better than Gingerbread. They were the number 1 best-selling food in the Winter Carnival. After overcoming Nethin’s problem he adapted to not be alarmed whenever there is a problem.

Tanishka The Great I Student Tanishka Khandelwal I Personality Development Program I Jaipur

By admin in Creative Writing on February 15, 2024

An original story, written by our offline (Jaipur) student Tanishka Khandelwal.

Tanishka is 10-year-old young writer and orator from Jaipur. She loves art. We are proud to have her as a student in Public Speaking & Creative Writing Through Applied Storytelling & Theatre Program in Jaipur under the mentorship of Trainer Khusshbo Chokhaani. We congratulate Tanishka for this exemplary true self-expression.

Tanishka The Great

It was a below-freezing morning in Kashmir. Frosty smoke was all over, people were wearing, Earmuffs, heavy coats, gloves, puffy jackets, parkas, and hand warmers. Some people were skiing wearing ski pants and a ski hat. Some kids were eating mouthwatering dishes like a candy cane, bread pudding, and fruit cake, while some were having a healthy day as they had broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower veggie soup. The trees were covered with a thick layer of snow. It looked like the land was wearing a thick jacket of snow. It was lovely and icy cold. The smell of apples in the orchard was tantalizing.

This scene was witnessed by an 18-year-old girl Tanishka who was peeping through her window. The sight of the food watered her mouth. Her neighbors were singing and dancing as they were having a party and were enjoying a lot. The music was so loud, that she could hear it even though the doors were closed. Poor Tanishka!

It was so common for her because she was now used to listening to their loud music quite often. She wished to eat some palatable apple pie, but she could not eat it as she didn’t have the money. She was unemployed. She sneakily tried to visit her neighbours for food, but they never offered her anything. Instead, they always said the same thing, “Find a job and help yourself”, in a high pitch, slamming the door on her face.

Tanishka often saw in her dreams, that a witch wanted to conquer the world. Same dream every day it made her scared surely, periodically she even cried after waking up. She was looking for jobs from big companies to small restaurants, but she could not get a job. Meanwhile she found a person who was ready to give a job. The job was fishy. He wanted Tanishka to spy. She didn’t have any option for job so she accepted his offer.24×7, day and night she was spying but could not find a single clue.

One fine day she was walking on the street and a lady who was behaving weird, so she followed her. The woman went inside her house and changed herself into a witch. Tanishka slowly- slowly got to know her schedule. She leaves her house at 4 am and usually comes back by midnight. One day she was not at home, and Tanishka sneaked inside her house. She saw cast weapons, spell books and a big pot filled with pink colour water. Tanishka got to know why was she getting that dream. She pinched herself, she realized it was not a dream but truth. She wanted to save the world so she started with a plan. She used to go to the witch’s house every day, but one day when the witch came early, she got caught. As she had read some books about the witch, she knew pretty much about their powers. Her powers were in the broom that she had. As she was trying to reach the broom, the witch spotted her and cast the spell. Her hands were getting smaller and smaller but still, she somehow managed to reach the broom and broke it. Tanishka saved the world from the bad plans of the wicked witch. The witch vanished after that and was never seen. Tanishka got a good amount of money for her bravery and medals from the police department. She finally chose to become a spy happily. While the neighbours now are jealous of Tanishka, She still lives in that apartment.
