Project Possible

Glacial wind flew around the mountain’s peaks of Nepal. Icy snow blanketed everything in sight. Not a single Sherpa was volunteering. Nobody dared to step out. No noise was to be heard or an animal to be seen. Everything was crystal white.

Hidden in all this snow was a lady named Vinita. She was very courageous, mighty, and thoughtful. Her brain was nimble as a fox. She adored mountaineering, especially in all this snow. She didn’t care what other people thought about her as long as she was happy with herself.

Most people took 7 years to climb all the 14 mountains of Nepal. But Vinita believed she could do it in 7 months if she managed to stay alive. People told her that her project was impossible, so she named it Project Possible. She didn’t care what other people said. All she cared about was earning Nepal some respect. But from inside she knew that even if she didn’t succeed at least, she made some memories.

She wore 15 layers of clothes, two puffy jackets and a heavy oxygen pack on her back. She started climbing the first 13 mountains just fine. But when it came to the 14th one, she came across a problem. A blizzard was building up and a land slide was about to crash! She had to think fast but her brain was not supporting her. Doubts were beginning to devour her but she remined herself that she had come so far, she can’t give up now. Even after that she was still in panic. The mountain began to shake. But she was not ready to give up.

She found a small curve and ran to it. Turns out it was a small cave-like structure, so she hid in it for a very long time. Until the crashing sound was not there. It took her a few minutes to realize she was almost there. Her project was now complete, and she recorded everything as proof.

She showed her proof of climbing all 14 mountains in 7 months to the president and got respect for Nepal. Nobody ever doubted her again and everyone counted on her. She was filled with uncontainable joy for the rest of the year.

Sunshine In Forest

Once upon a time, there was a dark, deep, and dense forest. Since the Sun never bestowed its grace over there, it was always dark and cold.

A clever fox named Foxy lived there. He always thought about how to get the Sun to shine in his forest. But it was impossible to get the Sun. One day, when he was sleeping, he had a peculiar dream. A dream that gave him an idea! He began to feel excited and joyful.

In a forest meeting, Foxy the Fox suggested his idea, ‘Listen! I have a peculiar plan. First, we’ll all bring ropes and tie them together to form a long rope. Then, the birds will fly and tie it to the Sun. Finally, we’ll pull the Sun and our forest will be no longer dark!’

‘But,’ said Grizzly the bear, ‘Where will we bring ropes from? How will we pull such a heavy star?’ Everyone was disappointed. They were impatiently waiting for the forest to shine, but now, there was no hope.

Foxy shouted in a hurry, ’I am coming in a few minutes! Stay where you are!’ He fled to a nearby village and explained to the villagers their problem. He asked them to help him. The villagers agreed. They went to the forest led by Foxy and together they pulled the Sun.

The forest was shiny and warm now. The animals praised Foxy the Fox for his cleverness and thanked the villagers. Now, because of Foxy, that forest is no longer dark!
