Tanishka The Great

It was a below-freezing morning in Kashmir. Frosty smoke was all over, people were wearing, Earmuffs, heavy coats, gloves, puffy jackets, parkas, and hand warmers. Some people were skiing wearing ski pants and a ski hat. Some kids were eating mouthwatering dishes like a candy cane, bread pudding, and fruit cake, while some were having a healthy day as they had broccoli, cabbage and cauliflower veggie soup. The trees were covered with a thick layer of snow. It looked like the land was wearing a thick jacket of snow. It was lovely and icy cold. The smell of apples in the orchard was tantalizing.

This scene was witnessed by an 18-year-old girl Tanishka who was peeping through her window. The sight of the food watered her mouth. Her neighbors were singing and dancing as they were having a party and were enjoying a lot. The music was so loud, that she could hear it even though the doors were closed. Poor Tanishka!

It was so common for her because she was now used to listening to their loud music quite often. She wished to eat some palatable apple pie, but she could not eat it as she didn’t have the money. She was unemployed. She sneakily tried to visit her neighbours for food, but they never offered her anything. Instead, they always said the same thing, “Find a job and help yourself”, in a high pitch, slamming the door on her face.

Tanishka often saw in her dreams, that a witch wanted to conquer the world. Same dream every day it made her scared surely, periodically she even cried after waking up. She was looking for jobs from big companies to small restaurants, but she could not get a job. Meanwhile she found a person who was ready to give a job. The job was fishy. He wanted Tanishka to spy. She didn’t have any option for job so she accepted his offer.24×7, day and night she was spying but could not find a single clue.

One fine day she was walking on the street and a lady who was behaving weird, so she followed her. The woman went inside her house and changed herself into a witch. Tanishka slowly- slowly got to know her schedule. She leaves her house at 4 am and usually comes back by midnight. One day she was not at home, and Tanishka sneaked inside her house. She saw cast weapons, spell books and a big pot filled with pink colour water. Tanishka got to know why was she getting that dream. She pinched herself, she realized it was not a dream but truth. She wanted to save the world so she started with a plan. She used to go to the witch’s house every day, but one day when the witch came early, she got caught. As she had read some books about the witch, she knew pretty much about their powers. Her powers were in the broom that she had. As she was trying to reach the broom, the witch spotted her and cast the spell. Her hands were getting smaller and smaller but still, she somehow managed to reach the broom and broke it. Tanishka saved the world from the bad plans of the wicked witch. The witch vanished after that and was never seen. Tanishka got a good amount of money for her bravery and medals from the police department. She finally chose to become a spy happily. While the neighbours now are jealous of Tanishka, She still lives in that apartment.

Kindness

It was a blistery and frosty winter. The wind was blowing so hard that trees were falling. It was too foggy to see anything. There was nobody to seen outside. They were too scared to go.

In that same village lived Ruth. A nine-year-old girl, with hair till her knees. She was a brave and kind little girl. Her dream was to be normal, but people thought she was weird. The only reason for that was because she was smart, and skipped a grade.

One day, the wind was blowing twice as hard as normal, though there was no fog. Ruth was out, doing some errands, when it started blowing that hard. Suddenly, she heard a scream. She turned to see a tree falling on a little girl. She had a big scar on her leg, preventing her from getting up. Without any thought, she dived to save her, and got out of the way, right in time.

Ruth ran home, before the girl could say something, and told no one anything about it. One day, the doorbell rang, and Ruth was surprised to a whole crowd. Turns out, the girl she had saved, was from a reality show. They were testing, if anyone would help, her. Then, they tried to figure out who it was.

The people in Ruth’s school thought she was kind and wanted to be her friend. Ruth has a lot of friends now. They loved her for her kindness. Ruth was really happy now and always was.
