Splashy Summers at Crestwood High

It was a steaming hot day with extra daylight. The sun appeared as if it was planning to roast everyone up just like dumplings in a steamer. In the scorching solar conditions, the flowers were growing quite nicely and were giving a mesmerizing look to the landscape. Pink, orange, and yellow cape daisies were the only flowers blooming brightly. The vibrantly colored Lantana flowers gave a breathtaking sight to the blazing hot day.  They were puffy, pastel-colored Hydrangeas growing in a bushy shrub. The brilliant blue Pansies were very droopy as they grow better in cool weather.

Right next to the puffy, pastel-colored Hydrangeas was the massive building of Crestwood High where two teens named Ava Max and Taylor Allison Swift learned. Ava was an American girl who had straight long blonde hair and liked wearing jet black and tight-fitted t-shirts and ripped jeans. Taylor was an American girl as well had baby brown curly hair and liked to wear white t-shirts with black shorts. “I love to sing but this weather is killing me!’’ moaned Ava. “You took the words right out of my mouth!” exclaimed Taylor. “Hey want to play a game where we describe each other’s personality? Asked Ava. “Sure, I think you are ambitious” Taylor replied with full confidence. “I am pretty sure you are a very kind and generous person” replied Ava with a blast of energy. “But most importantly we are cool! Declared the two friends in unison.

Both the friends wanted to beat the heat because of the extreme conditions. Suddenly a brilliant idea struck Ava “You know we both are pretty good swimmers”. “So???” asked Taylor in utter confusion. Ava gave her a ‘you know what’ look. “Oh! I get it you’re saying we can swim the heat off!” announced Taylor with a knowing look. “Exactly now you are talking sense”. Said Ava delighted. “So, what are you waiting for let’s have some fun in the sun” screamed Taylor.

The two girls rushed home to grab their swimsuits when they realized their swimsuits didn’t fit them anymore! “Oh no” wailed Taylor “What will we do now?” “Oh, calm down Taylor we can’t handle anything until we are calm and not stressed or worried” scolded Ava. “Fine! Tell me this brilliant plan of yours” yelled Taylor disapprovingly. Though Taylor was simply trying to express that she was angry at the way her friend tried to take control of the situation. “Please just listen I have an idea” Ava requested. I guess I should give her a second chance thought Taylor. “Okay what’s the plan?” asked Taylor.

Ava revealed her brilliant plan to Taylor which included her credit card, the store Zara, and a bunch of gift cards. Quicker than a tiger the two teens sped to Zara and shopped for some swimming costumes which they got an extra discount on because of the gift card. Ava bought an aqua blue swimsuit with glitter and Taylor bought a plain pink swimsuit.

Now that they had their costumes they got a giant splash into the pool. They talked and splashed for what seemed like 1,00,00,000 years.

The Case of the Missing Phone

It was a burning hot day in Varkala, Kerela. A lot of people went to Varkala beach to refresh themselves and relax. Amaira and her best friend Tiana were one of them.

Amaira was a 16-year-old girl with chocolate brown hair and black eyes. She was wearing a pastel purple top and black jeans with her long hair tied in a ponytail. Tiana was also a 16-year-old girl with charcoal black hair and dazzling blue eyes. She was wearing a black crop top and light blue jeans.

“Can I have my phone back? I need to call my mom.” Tiana asked. “I don’t have your phone!” Amaira replied. “You do! I gave it to you to click a photo of me when we were at the salon!” Tiana exclaimed. “Then I gave it back!” affirmed Amaira. “Wait, let me try calling you.” All Tiana and Amaira could hear was the chatter and laughter of the people on the beach “Then were did it go?” asked Tiana. “Let’s find out!” said Amaira getting up from her chair, “Come on, let’s go!” She said grabbing Tiana’s hand and pulling her up.

“Why are we back here again?”, asked Tiana, standing in front of Sara’s Salon. “To investigate like we’re detectives. Come on! Let’s solve the case of the missing phone!” exclaimed Amaira, running into the salon. “Fine, but I have to be home by 9:00 pm.” grumbled Tiana, walking in.

“Did you find anything?” enquired Amaira. “Nothing! All the workers said that they saw nothing suspicious. This was a waste of time. I’ll just go home and tell my mom what happened”, assured tiana.  “You will do no such thing! We will go to back to the beach and search for it there!”, ordered Amaira.  “That’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack and only you, Amaira Gupta would suggest something that crazy and that’s why you’re my best friend!” exclaimed Tiana, pulling Amaira into a hug. “Come on, we have a phone to find!” Amaira said pulling away.

“Do you realize how insane we look digging in the sand like we’re trying to make a pool or something?” said Tiana. “I just did……well at least there are way less people than before, and we are not looking insane”, Amaira answered flicking some sand in Tiana’s direction. “You did not just do that!” Tiana said flicking some sand in Amaira’s direction. “SAND FIGHT!” Screamed Amaira and Tiana simultaneously.

“I’m tired, truce?”, said Tiana lying down on the sand “Truce!”, replied Amaira lying down next to her. “Too bad we didn’t find your phone.” said Amaira “Buzzzzzzzzz Buzzzzzzzzz” “What’s that noise?” said Tiana getting up “I don’t know? Let’s find out.” Said Amaira “It seems to be coming from my bag.” observed Tiana. Amaira picked up Tiana’s bag and dumped everything and at the very bottom was Tiana’s phone. “B-bu-but how is it in my bag? You rang it in the morning, and we couldn’t hear anything!” exclaimed Tiana. “That’s because in the morning there was chatter and laughter and now it’s much more silent!”, Amaira realized.  “I love the silence and my phone!” said Tiana. Amaira sighed a relief!.  “Wait! What’s the time?”, asked Tiana. “9:43 pm” Amaira answered, “Oh shoot I’m late for dinner!” said Tiana. Both of them burst out laughing.
