An original short stories collection written, by our offline (Jaipur) student Samaira Soni.

Samaira is 6 years old. A young dancer and horse-rider. We are proud to have her as a student of the Personality Development Program using Applied Storytelling, Public Speaking, Theatre, and Creative Writing tools under the mentorship of Facilitator Khusshbo Chokhaani. We congratulate Samaira for this exemplary true self-expression.

NJT Short Stories Collection #10

1.The Prince And The Princess

Long long ago there was a prince. He lived in a beautiful castle. His dream was to marry a beautiful princess. He went to his parents and asked to search for a beautiful princess for him. He asked, “Can you find me one princess?”. They agreed, “Yes we will try to find a beautiful princess for you”. They searched everywhere but couldn’t find one. Then they asked their neighboring state, “Can you give your princess to our prince”? They agreed to this proposal. The prince married that princess. They lived happily and his parents were also happy to see them together. Everyone lived happily ever after.

2. Cat And The Cow

One day there was a cat. Her name was Pinky. She lived in a bag. One day Pinky was hungry, she wanted milk. Suddenly she spotted a cow and her pinky went to her.  She asked how can you give me some milk? Cow agreed, “Yes you can take some milk from me”. Pinky drank some milk and went happily to her bag.

3.The Tiger

Once upon a time, a tiger lived in a jungle. He was always hungry. He wanted to catch the deer and eat. He tried many tricks many times but failed and thought, “I CAN NEVER CATCH ONE DEER”. One day he got an idea. He practiced every day on his skill to catch deer and he became strong and strong in catching them. One day he caught one deer and ate it. Now he never felt this much hungry, and he lived happily ever after.

4. A Lion And A Mouse

Once upon a time, there was a lion. He was sleeping under a tree. The mouse came and he started jumping on the lion’s tummy. The lion woke up and said, “Why are you jumping on my tummy? I will eat you now”. Then the mouse said, “Please don’t eat me. I can help you when you need help”. After that, the lion left the mouse and the mouse dashed. One day a hunter came and put the net to catch the lion. The lion got stuck in the net. Lion was shouting for help. Mouse heard his sound and came to rescue him.  Mouse told to the lion, “I can help you by cutting the net from my sharp teeth”. Lion asked for his help. Then the mouse started cutting the net with his teeth and set the lion free.
