Jimmy’s Captivating Nature

Once there was a boy named Jimmy, who was 9-year-old. He was very kind and helpful. He was thin and adventurous. He liked to play all sports.

One summer morning, it was a blissful day, Jimmy woke up. Drank his coconut water, wore his running shorts, and went jogging at 6 am at Central Park in Jaipur. After 30 minutes of jogging, he took a break and started exploring different colorful summer plants and flowers like Marigold, Balsam, and Sunflower. This sight was enchanting and delightful.

Jimmy dreamed that our dynamic nature with blooming plants and animals and birds stays forever. He was concerned about how human acts were creating deforestation, habitat destruction, and water cycle disturbances, because of which our nature was degrading day by day.

Forest fires were spreading uncontrollably, burning plants, animals, and grasslands falling in their path causing climate change. Jimmy felt grieved because of the alarming global warming level. The thought of future conditions trembled Jimmy.

Jimmy decided to team up with his friends and cousins and do a few things every Sunday and holiday like planting new trees, cleaning land pollution of certain areas, guiding uneducated people about not using plastic, and creating awareness in people to save energy. Jimmy also followed the Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle policy and made people accept this policy.

These moral thoughts and ideas inspired him and gave him a feeling of healing. Jimmy was refreshed about thinking of flourishing nature. he firmly decided to follow these plans for a nourishing future.

Faith

When the hot summer peaked in Dharampur, Gujarat, people were under the brunt of heat and humidity physically and mentally. With taps, ponds, and lakes running dry, there was a shortage of water which is why some people were calling it an evil summer.

In this hot summer, Gopal was working hard in his father’s fields. He was slim and had brown eyes with a Roman nose. He had brown hair and was fully tanned. He was a very hardworking, smart, and kind person who loved to work in the fields.

He always wanted his plants to stay healthy. This is why he would buy the best fertilizers and soil for the plants so that one day they will grow well. He had a sibling called Keshav. He helped him to water the four-hundred-acre farm and also helped him put soil.

After a few weeks because of Keshav and Gopal’s hard work, they earned a lot of money and thought of going to Gandhinagar but Gopal refused to go and said, “I don’t want to go because when we go then who will look after the plants? They will die”.

“No they won’t, you have given them enough water they will survive don’t worry my child,” said his father. Yes, Dad is right we will enjoy”, said Keshav.

“Your mother also lives there. Don’t you want to meet your mom?”  their father, “Yes I will be very happy to meet mamma, so I will also come” said Gopal. when Gopal and his family went, they were not aware that it would be fifty degrees Celsius in Dharampur and they were enjoying the family time.

Later when it was time to push off for Dharampur, Gopal waved his hands and said goodbye to his mother, butas soon as they reached home, they were shocked. Their fields were filled with dry crops and dry plants. At this sight Gopal broke into tears and started sulking, “No! what has happened to my crops? Who did this? How did this happen? I know whatever has happened is not good now. I think that there is no sufficient water for us to drink now. How will we water such a huge yard? No, No there should be some way “. Gopal’s father said, “My boy there is only one way left and that is to pray to lord Vishnu and ask him to bring rain”

Hearing this Gopal immediately rushed to the temple and prayed for four hours and said in his mind, “O lord Vishnu please let the rains come as you are responsible for rain.  Please shed some rain in this water crisis. All the villagers and my farm are suffering,” praying this he went back to sleep.

The next day a miracle took place because when Gopal got up, there was rain everywhere. He was extremely happy. It seemed his prayers were answered. This rainfall was neither heavy nor less It was perfect and Gopal’s farm flourished and villagers got a full year of drinking water.
