Saatvik’s Cow Makhan (White Butter)

Once upon a time, in a village there was a boy named Saatvik. One day he wanted to eat some makhan so he said to his mother, “Mother, I want to eat some makhan”, “ok” said his mother,” I will check in the kitchen if there is any makhan”, “ok” said Saatvik. When mother was checking in the kitchen was there any makhan or not. She found that there is no makhan and said,” Oh no, the makhan is finished.”

Saatvik said,” You can make some makhan for me from the cow’s milk”. “Oh yes! I can”, said the mother.  They both went to the Gaushala. Saatvik excitedly asked the milkman, “Can you give me and my mother some milk?”. “Yes, but the milk is finished so I will fetch some milk from the cow.” said the milkman.

When he was going to fetch some milk, the cow didn’t give any milk because the cow was very sad so Saatvik had an idea to call his friend Krishna. Saatvik said to his mother, “Mother Mother, I have an idea, I can call my friend Krishna”.  “Ok go and call your friend Krishna”, said mother. He went to call his friend Krishna. Krishna and Saatvik came together to Gaushala. Krishna started playing his flute and the milkman gave the cow something to eat, then the cow was very happy and started giving milk. But Krishna said,” If you’re making some makhan, give half of the makhan to me as well.” “Ok “said Saatvik.

The next day, Saatvik’s mother prepared makhan so both the friends enjoy the makhan together.

Lunar Cycle – The Many Moods Of The Moon

There I was, in the dunes in the dark,

Looking at a ball of milk, rising in the sky.

From valleys to mountains between rocks and sand,

She shrank as she rose, with a glitter that never froze.

She was white as milk, and had dots like bubbles,

She likes to go around the earth every 28th day,

And plays a hide and seek game.
