The Farmer & His Thief Son

Long Long Long ago in a certain village lived a farmer and his only son. The SON was a thief who goes about stealing from people’s homes. He continued this wicked lifestyle till the day his cup got filled. He stole heavily some of the money from the richest man in their village, but that day he didn’t escape successfully as he used to. The farmer involved the police immediately after he found out that his money was missing and the police started investigating, and finally they found out that the boy stole the money so they sent him to prison.

After some months, it was time for farming and the farmer was already old and weak and can’t dig the ground anymore, so the old farmer wrote this letter to his son in prison. “Son, this year I will not plant cassava and yam because I can’t dig the field, I know if you were here you would have helped me”.

The son was touched by his father’s letter so he thought of a plan and replied to his father “Dad don’t even think of digging the field because that’s where I buried the money I stole”.

The POLICEMEN on reading this letter went early in the morning and dug the whole field in search of the money but nothing was found.

The next day the son wrote his father again “Dad you can now plant your cassava and yam this is the best I can do from here.”

Dad replied “My son, you are too powerful indeed, even in prison you still command policemen to work for me. I was so surprised to see the IGP and his team holding hoes and shovels, digging my farm. I will write to you when I want to harvest.”

And after that the son stopped stealing money and was now no more a THEIF and he helped his father in the field and became rich by working on his farm.

Myself Melissa Landford

On a dark, stormy, and gloomy night, a gorgeous, insipid, and skinny teenage girl was lying quietly by the window crying and staring at the lonely sky. In the background, she could hear the noises of her parents fighting and yelling at each other. She thought about having no friends and being lonely.

Suddenly her mother breaks into her room and told her to pack her stuff as they were moving out. She started spiraling into panic. She pushed her parents out of the room and locked the door. She curls into a ball and starts crying loudly. While tears still pour down her face, she packs all of her stuff and decides to run away. She dashes out the door with her parents calling out behind her, but she kept on running, running, and running.

She ran for what felt like an eternity and then she finds herself in a forest. It was filled with towering trees, fireflies, mist, and the voice of owls. Her eyes grab attention towards a library. The library was dark and dim with beige brown bricks. In the front was a clear glass panel for visitors to see. It had black marble bookshelves with plenty of books, the library was covered with quotes written in bold writing. The floor was laid with white tiles. Its roof was flat. The temperature was near freezing and the girl shivered under its cold temperature. Some lanterns hung around the wall illuminating books.

As the girl sat in the mythical library, her mind began to wander the thoughts of what could have happened to her.  Every emotion she was holding inside her suddenly bursts out causing her to fall into a panic attack, she felt suffocated almost like she couldn’t breathe. As the rain grew heavier, she could hear every droplet of water. It felt like knives against her skin. The rain gradually stopped. As she looks up at the sky, she saw the most magnificent, splendid, and vibrant rainbow of her life. The reflection of the rainbow illuminates the whole library and points toward a specific book. Wiping the tears on her face. The girl heads straight towards the book picking it up and flipping through it. But the book was completely blank, the only thing that was written on the front page of the book was ” Write your own story “.

The girl was intrigued by this and grabbed the book. She sat down and started writing. As she started writing about her emotions it felt like a load have been lifted from her shoulders. She wrote about everything, her emotions, and struggles. She wrote and wrote until it was morning. Then she walks out of the library along with the book on her way home.

She reached her home with a calm, relaxed mind. She kept writing and writing with a delighted, joyful, and cheerful mind. After a few years of writing one day, she finally completed her autobiography and published it. She was never this happier and confident before, she was on cloud nine. Her autobiography soon gained a lot of popularity and success and became one of the most-read books. She inspired many other people and became a well-known author with the name Melissa Landford.
