The Flowerpot

Once there was a huge garden. In one corner of the garden, there was a flowerpot. The flowerpot was orange and black. It was kept near a huge and tall tree. The size of the flowerpot was approximately 5 inches.

In that flowerpot lived a flower. The name of the flower was Hibiscus. The flower looked reddish. The flower petals were soft to touch. A tube was coming out from the petals. The pollen was coming out from the petals.

The flower wanted to get some large-sized leaves of green colour. It would make food with them. It would serve the other parts of the plant. The plant would get healthy.  The plant would bloom under the sun with nutritious food.

He got an idea. He thought of a place where more sunlight was coming. He did that. His root shoot would go downwards, and the stem shoot would go upwards.

Suddenly, he heard the strong sound of the drip-drop of the rainwater. It was a rainy day. Loud thunderstorms were coming from the clouds. His efforts were halted. There were muddy puddles filled with water.  There was no sign of sunlight. He was exhausted from the rainwater, and he slept. Then he woke up early the next morning.

In the morning, it was sunny. It was the brightest and warmest sun. All the water dried up. Grass and trees were happy with rainwater. Everything was fresh and green. All trees, birds, and flowers were swaying, chirping, and blooming. The flowerpot with all its might shifted to that part of the garden where direct sunlight was falling. Hibiscus’s root shoot bent downward, and his stem shoot went upward. He blossomed under the sunlight. Probably the rainwater was a gift from Mother Nature. Mother Nature must have heard his wish.

He received more sunlight as the day progressed. The Hibiscus plant started growing and its roots were getting stronger and stronger sending enough water to the stem. The stem started giving water to other parts also. The flowers bloomed and it had leaves. He was having fun. He was happy when his leaves and flowers bloomed. He enjoyed the whole process of  getting drenched in rain and drying up in sunlight.

The Lone Star

The summer season has arrived, and all the people of the Valley of Flowers, Uttarakhand are changing into swimming costumes. It is time for the summer flowers to show their true beauty. Everyone is saddened by the way orange marigolds dry out in the summer due to the scorching hot sun. However, the Balsam is one of the best summer season flowers in India. They bloom beautifully and are not bothered by the blistering heat. They come in yellow, blue, and other colours. Cosmos are the best flowers to put in gardens; their petals are smooth and fascinating to touch. Pollinators are attracted to them by their scent and beauty, where they can get good nectar. The Plumeria smells sweet and lovely, like a cake. There are many varieties of summer flowers, and each of them is astonishing. In that town, there was a famous flower shop called “The Lone Star “

In the town of The Lone Star, Tiana was a well-known figure as the owner of a charming shop. With her blonde hair, piercing blue eyes, and stylish curtain bangs, she possessed a striking appearance. However, what truly stood out about her was her kind and generous nature. Tiana’s heart was pure gold, yet it harboured an unusual quirk – a penchant for sharing light hearted summer jokes at the most unexpected moments. Naina, the manager of Lone Star, had a different approach compared to Tiana. She had brown hair, fair skin, and piercing black eyes. She wasn’t a fan of flowers and was motivated by financial security. Both Naina and Tiana dreamt of elevating the company and expanding its presence across India. Tiana envisioned herself as a successful businesswoman, while Naina looked forward to earning a higher salary as the company flourished.

As the company flourished, there were many challenges along the way. Tiana was struggling to find people to join the sales team. One day, as she sat in her office, she decided to play her favourite summer song to lift her spirits. While she was enjoying the music, she heard someone trying to open the locked gate. Startled, she hid under her desk and closed her laptop. To her surprise, it was Naina who entered through the gate. Naina went to Tiana’s closet and opened the safe, taking a bundle of money. Before she could leave, Tiana confronted her. “Hey, Naina!” Tiana said as she stood up to confront her friend. “How could you do this to me? I have always counted on you.” “I am so sorry, Tiana. I didn’t mean to. I suffer from a condition called Kleptomania,” Naina sobbed. “I just can’t stop myself from stealing stuff.” Tiana, feeling guilty for assuming so quickly that she was a thief, handed Naina a therapist card and said, “Here, Naina. Please call this number. You need help.” Naina agreed and left the room, carrying the weight of her confession with her.

The scorching June sun beat down on Tiana and Naina as they hustled to gather a sales team for their new venture. “We’ve got to make this work, Tiana. I can’t let my condition hold me back,” Naina exclaimed, wiping the sweat off her face. “I believe in us, Naina. We can do it,” Tiana reassured her, a determined glint in her eye.

After countless meetings and pitches, they managed to secure numerous sponsors, and Naina felt a sense of accomplishment as she gained control over her condition. “I never thought we’d come this far,” she said, her tone filled with quiet pride. As the months went by, Naina surprised everyone by developing a newfound interest in flowers, her once tough look softening with each passing day.

Their hard work paid off when they finally opened their 2nd branch in Chanakyapuri. “We did it, Naina! The future looks bright and colourful, just like these summer flowers,” Tiana exclaimed, surveying the bustling new branch with a sense of wonder.

Years later, Naina found herself at the helm of the company as the CEO. “I never imagined we’d reach such heights,” she remarked, her voice filled with awe. The entire team was ecstatic, feeling as if they were on cloud nine.
