The Great Prince

Once upon a time in the glorious city of Rajpur, lived a prince named Hansaraj. He was always delighted and curious to explore the world. But his duty always made it a predicament, so he had to stay in the kingdom constantly. One day he decided to leave the city and go to explore the world secretly. After leaving the town he met the revered sage Valmiki. As he was in deep penance so Hansaraj waited.

When the sage opened his eyes, he saw the prince and said, “You are a divine soul, and you will be a great warrior”. In a flash of light, he disappeared after that incident the prince was astonished. He went on his journey and saw a sword stuck in the ground. Lots and lots of people gathered over and were trying to pull the sword out. The turn of Hansaraj came, and he tried and pulled the sword out.

Then he was named as a hero of the sword. The sword was no ordinary sword. It was from the remains of lord Ram’s city Ayodhya.  The prince went back to his kingdom where he saw sights that he had never seen before. In his kingdom people were slaughtered and smashed by the arch-rivals and his beloved father was dead so he had to fight for his kingdom. The furious war began where the prince had to fight for his kingdom and for his people. The prince filled with rage towards the opposite army with avenge in his blood that was running down his body. He fought heroically, the lords from the skies watched the bravery of the prince as he sung his sword.

After the battle the prince stood high in pride as he wins the battle like a hero, and he beheaded the head of his enemy the flower showered him from the heavenly abode. After the incident he only wanted peace, so he became a sage and went to preach, teach, and heal the sick and the poor. He performed severe penance. He walked around the whole world and helped people to stay in harmony.

One day Hansraj was in the forest meditating. After the meditation, he saw the three lords Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh. They took him to heaven and said, “You have attained the highest level of Salvation from now you will rule the gods, and you will be named as Indra”.

An original story written, by our offline (Jaipur) student Dhairyash Gupta.

Dhairyash is 9 years old. A young sports enthusiast and gold medalist with a creative bend of mind. We are proud to have him as a student of the Personality Development Program using Applied Storytelling, Public Speaking, Theatre, and Creative Writing tools under the mentorship of Facilitator Khusshbo Chokhaani. Pawan The Cricketer

Once there lived a little, strong, playful and tall 10- year- old boy named Pawan. He was very kind, soft hearted and caring for others.
He had brownish eyes, was a very fast runner, a good thrower and catcher. He held a very great sportsmanship within him.

Pawan used to live in the city of Chandigarh, India. Chandigarh is well – developed when it comes to infrastructure and is low populated
which gives it many advantages like less traffic etc. He lived in a fourteen -story building. He lives in a building because without any
friends at home, he gets extremely bored. Downstairs there are many trees growing making the air fresh. From the ground floor, the
building looks tall.

His main dedication was to become a cricket player. After all, he possesses the qualities of a noble cricket player. He also likes playing cricket with his friends, so he already played very good without any practice.

After this, he took permission from his father to go to a cricket club to practice for one and a half hour every day, to surpass his limits and become a cricket player by profession. His father said that “Since you have a lot of free time, you can go to the club”. Later, he found a suitable club for him, where Pawan could practice for one and a half hour. He told Pawan that “Son, you will be able to start practicing tomorrow”. He also said that “Son, since you have finished studying, you can go downstairs to play cricket”. Pawan was as happy as a child and rushed downstairs in a flash. The next day, he got excited and left his home for his cricket training right on time without being a
minute late. He played impressive at his training. He kept on hitting sixes. The coach asked him” How did you play so well when it is your first time playing”? Pawan replied that” It’s just that I love to play cricket”. That day he learnt a lot of new techniques.

The coach could really see the potential in Pawan. Pawan didn’t waste a single minute at training. After reaching home, he completed his homework and went downstairs to play cricket again for another few hours.

This continued for a few days. He was playing cricket for at least four hours a day. One day, while Pawan was running to catch the ball, he slipped on a rough surface and hurt his knee badly. He could barely walk. He slowly and steadily walked back home. His father saw that how badly he got hurt and tied a bandage on his knee. He could not play cricket for a week. After his knee had recovered, he started playing again this is the determination of a sportsman.

Eight years later, he joined the national cricket team of India. He was one of the top players and inspired many people. He still used to practice for four hours a day.
