Duologue: A dramatic performance or piece in form of a dialogue limited to two speakers.

Setting: Sudden news about the outbreak of war between two countries, England and Scotland. Two brothers, Tanjiro and Gojo, express their fear and uncertainty about the future and survival.

Duologue

Tanjiro: Gojo, have you heard that there might be a war in our country with Scotland. I was afraid of my own shadow when I heard that!

Gojo: Well, if you heard that on radio, it’s all fake. They just say so to give us the goosebumps.

(suddenly people shouting and sound of gunfire)

Tanjiro: What on earth was that? It made my blood run cold!

Gojo: (slowly peeping outside the window) I take my word’s back, that scared me out of my skin!

Tanjiro: What’s going on, what is there outside the window that scared you to death?

Gojo: I think war started, you’d be scared stiff, if you see 100 men with rifles and 20 fighter jets.

Tanjiro: I told you this will happen. You never believed me. Now you’re the one who’s pants are off!

Gojo: Pack all the food and valuables, take our dead grandfather’s two pistols. That might save our lives. I’m already scared out of a years growth and well ready to run scared.

Tanjiro: Let’s take two separate bags. That’ll allow us to carry more stuff or if we don’t have the necessary things you’ll be a chicken.

Gojo: Oh! be quiet, you already got the heebie:jeebies.

Tanjiro: Before we even leave the house you’ll chicken out.

Gojo: Fine, should we go, or not or are you the person who’ll break out into cold sweats first? We should go fast and take cover or we’ll be helpless in front of the warriors.

Tanjiro: Let’s go to the bunker which our grandfather built or the warriors will scare us straight.

Gojo: You’re talking about the best place not to miss a heartbeat!

(After a month of survival)

Tanjiro: The radio!

(Radio: War has ended and we have successfully won!)

Gojo: Finally home sweet home!

(After coming out of the bunker)

Tanjiro: Our home! it’s not destroyed. First I was terrified and had chills down my spine, when I thought that it was destroyed.

Gojo: I was scared and trembling like a leaf when I thought the same thing.

Tanjiro:Check the house, it’ll scare out of my wits if anything is destroyed or stolen.

(Gojo checks and nothing is destroyed or stolen)

Gojo:Wait look a blood splash outside the house! I thought it was our red mat but now that I know it’s blood I’m petrified and shaking in my boots!

Tanjiro: A dead body! But now we shouldn’t be afraid as we have survived, no need to worry! just inform the police and morgue people to collect it and we can return to our normal lives.
