Vaccination Drive

This is an original play written by our online student Avantika Rastogi. Avantika, is a young orator and writer from Gurugram. We are proud to have her as a student in the Online Creative Writing & Public Speaking Program, using Applied Storytelling & Theatre tools under the mentorship of Trainer Khusshbo Chokhaani. We congratulate Avantika for this exemplary true self-expression.

Setting: Two classmates Rinky and Pinky are expressing their deepest fears with the news about the vaccination drive in school for all students.

Play Script

Rinky- I am scared.

Pinky- Why?

Rinky- I heard that there will be a vaccination in our school.

Pinky- What? I am just so terrified of needles.

Rinky- There will be big needles.

Pinky- What big needles?

(Pinky collapsed on the floor).

Rinky- Pinky, Pinky, Wake up! Wake up!.

(Rinky runs and calls the teacher).

Teacher- Pinky, what happened to you?

Rinky- When I told her that there is a vaccination in our school, and they will be using big needle. She just fainted.

Teacher- Looks like she has a big fear of needles.

Rinky- Should I call the nurse?

Teacher- Yes, call the nurse.

(Rinky goes to call the nurse)

(Rinky and nurse come back, nurse comes with a needle.)

Pinky wakes up.

Pinky- Oh! Rinky,

Rinky: Teacher and Nurse (she screams).

(Pinky faints, again)

Zombie Apocalypse I Student Raggav Sundar I Online Creative Writing Program

Zombie Apocalypse

This is an original duologue written by our online student Raggav Sundar. Raggav is a young orator and writer from UAE. We are proud to have him as a student in the Online Creative Writing & Public Speaking Program, using Applied Storytelling & Theatre tools under the mentorship of Trainer Khusshbo Chokhaani. We congratulate Raagav for this exemplary true self-expression.

Duologue: A dramatic performance or piece in the form of a dialogue limited to two speakers.

Setting: Sudden attack and insurgencies of zombies in a city freaking out two friends Jack and Quint who try to run for their life.

Duologue

Jack: Quint come fast; I don’t want to wait in the line for the show.

Quint: Hmm..hmmm, can we at least slow down a bit, I am getting tired.

Jack: Ok fine, lets sit for some time, will wait till you catch your breath.

Quint: Thank you, I feel more comfortable now after catching my breath.

(Suddenly they hear screams)

Jack: Quint, What is happening? Why are people screaming and running?

Quint: I don’t know Jack; I am petrified of these screams.

(They then saw a zombie)

Jack: What is that? And why is it starring at us?

Quint: ITS MOUTH IS WIDE OPEN AND IT IS FILL WITH BLOOD IN IT’S TEETH…..

Jack: RUN NOW….. RUN!!

Quint: Great we are running again!!!………..(panting)

(They later go into a safe area)

Jack: Phew, that was close, it send chills down my spine.

Quint: I am terrified right now, what was that?

Jack: I don’t know, some creature or something like that.

Quint: There whole face and all parts of their body for filled with blood

Jack: Thinking of that gives me the heebie-jeebies!!

Quint: I am afraid after seeing that thing!

Jack: What do we do now?  I am scared to death!

Quint: We need to go to a safer point and away from these blood bath creatures.

Jack: Where though? We also need a food source.

Quint: I know one place!!

Jack:  What is that place, hopefully that area is not covered with those weird scary looking creature.

Quint:  It is your tree house, that area is a remote place.

(they went towards the tree house when this happened)

Jack: Why is there so many of those creatures here?

Quint: I thought this is a remote place…

Jack: Look at their eyes they are bright red.

Quint: It looks very bloody.

Jack: What are these creatures, and how did they get here?

Quint: I think there are humans.

Jack: What! how are these humans! They are bloodthirsty!

Quint: These things only attack humans and moreover I saw one human getting converted!

Jack: First let’s go to a safe area then let’s talk about this.

Quint: Quick before they notice us.

Jack: I think that bloodthirsty creature has spotted us.

Quint: What! RUN!!!!
