1.Are You Okay?

“Are you okay?” I asked,
a tear rolled down her face,
she blinked and wiped it away.

“I’m okay” she replied.
with a smile, oh, so convincing,
she adjusts it more & and; there she stands smiling.

“Are you though?” I asked,
another tear about to roll off the other eye.
and she held it back.

“I’ll be okay.” She replied,
everyone’s got battles to fight,
and fears to hide.

“But what about you?” I asked,
nervously she fidgeted with her fingers,
and took deep breaths.

“I’ll find a way” she replied.
through the darkness and middle of the night,
because I know every tunnel’s end has a light.

“I’ll give you time” I said.
but I’ll be here when you need me,
through every thick and thin.

2. Did you look in the mirror?

Did you look in the mirror today?
Did you see your beauty?
Or did you shy away from not model-like belly,
Did you look at that pretty face?
Or did you try to hide that grace;

Did you look at those charming eyes?
Or did you talk about giving contact lenses a try,
Did you look at that amazing hair?
Or did you think of them as despair;

Did you pick out shorts for the beach today?
And did you rethink because of that cellulite,
Did you pick out a nice crop top today?
And did you put it back because of those stretch marks;

Did you pick out a cute bikini today?
But did you return it because of slight weight that you put on,
Did you plan a summer trip with friends?
But did you cancel because you look didn’t match model-standards;

Did you skip a meal somedays?
But was it worth the starvation for just tight skin,
Did you tape your thighs?
But was it worth the suffocation for just skinnier legs.

Did you cling wrap your waist?
But was it worth the suffocation for just thinner waist,
Did you get plastic surgery?
But was it worth the money spent and pain.

Did caress those lovely freckles?
Or did you grab the nearest foundation?
Did you blink those graceful eyes?
Or did you cover those soft eyelashes with fake?

Did you give yourself love?
Or did you jump at the first chance to get a Botox,
Did you give yourself enough credit?
Or did you look for flaws at every second.

If all you could see were the flaws,
Then you didn’t notice the beauty you have,
In those eyes, those cheeks, that waist, that face,
Open your eyes and ask yourself,
“Did you really look at yourself in the mirror?”

3. Just a story…

Monster, monster, where are you?
People say you’re scary.
But that’s not true.

Monster, monster, where are you?
I’m a sweetheart.
Just like you

Monster, monster where are you?
Why don’t you come out?
And play with me, without a doubt.

Monster, monster where are you?
How do you look?
Do you have blue skin, 3 eyes and claws too?

Monster, monster where are you?
I want to see you.
Come out please, we can be friends too.

Monster, monster where are you?
I’m not scared.
Just come out so I can talk to you.

Monster, monster where are you?
Let me ask you another question.
How old are you?

Monster, monster where are you?
Are you old and grey,
Or young and new?

Monster, monster where are you?
Tell me your name.
So, I can call you a friend.

Monster, monster where are you?
Do you like toys?
Just like me too?

Monster, monster where are you?
Do you want to come out?
We can eat chocolates too.

Monster, monster where are you?
Are you even there?
Or were you just a story and never true?
